Dhaka



Dhaka (Bengali: ঢাকা), is the capital of Bangladesh; formerly known as Dacca, and Jahangirnagar, during Mughal rule in the 17th century. It stands on the bank of the Buriganga River. It is a megacity and one of the major cities of South Asia, the 9th largest city in the world. It has a large population. Dhaka is also knows as the city of mosques, fine muslin and rickshaws has a fairly long history of evolution.
Today is center of culture, education, business, political life in Bangladesh.
