Business Studies Faculty of Jahangirnagar University (JU) launched EMBA programme

The Business Studies faculty of Jahangirnagar University (JU) launched Evening Masters of Business Administration (EMBA) programme, dean of the faculty Professor Abdul Bayes told BSS today.
The admission form distribution for the programme has begun today and will remain open until August 1, he added.
The admission test will be held on August 12 at the university and the program is open to all with a graduation from any recognized institution.
Students have been asked to collect admission form from the faculty office and faculty website www.juniv.edu.

Bangladeshi engineer designs largest US civil work project
A Bangladeshi engineer has earned the repute of being the coordinator or principal engineer of the ever-largest project in US civil work's history to save its coastlines from hurricane onslaughts.
The United States army selected Anwar Zahid, a graduate of Bangladesh University of Engineers and Technology (BUET), to lead
the construction of the two multi-billion dollars giant structures for the protection of its New Orleans and Louisiana states coastlines from hurricane and storm surges.
"As the super hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans and Louisiana, United States Army Corp of Engineers has taken the mega project at an estimated cost of around US$ 11 billion to build various types of mega engineering structures to protect the two states from future upsurge," Zahid said here today.

Australian University delegation calls on DU VC
Professor of DU Psychology Department and Director of Students Counseling and Guidance Shaheen Islam and Associate Professor of the department Mahjabeen Haque were present on the occasion, a DU release said.
The delegation is presently on a visit to the Department of Psychology of DU in an exchange programme signed earlier by both the universities to develop education and counseling psychology in Bangladesh.
During the meeting, the vice-chancellor apprised the visiting team-members of the academics and other activities of DU.
He thanked them for there visit and interest about DU.
