Bangladesh has a total population of 14 crore, 23 lakh and 19 thousand (142.3 million).
Of them, 7 crore, 12 lakh and 55 thousand are male while 7 crore, 10 lakh and 65 thousand female, according to the Bangladesh Population and Housing Census Report, 2011 unveiled Saturday.
Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS) published the report at a morning press conference at the NEC auditorium in the city's Sher-e-Bangla Nagar.
