SSC and Dakhil Exam Result 2012 in Bangladesh
The results of this year's Secondary School Certificate and its
equivalent Dakhil and SSC (vocational) examinations held under 10
educational boards will be published simultaneously on May 7.

NIDA President calls on DU VC
Prof Dr Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA) of Bangkok, met Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique at his office on Thursday.
Dean of Graduate School of Public Administration at NIDA Dr Tippawan Lorsuwannarat, Associate Dean for Planning and Development at NIDA Dr Chandra-nuj Mahakanjana, Chairman of Dhaka University Public Administration Department Prof Dr Aka Firowz Ahmad and Prof Dr Salahuddin M Aminuzzaman were present on the occasion.
During the meeting, they discussed matters of mutual interest, specially the possibilities of undertaking joint collaborative programmes between Dhaka University and the NIDA in the fields of higher education and research.
Prof Arefin Siddique and NIDA President Prof Dr Sombat Thamrongthanyawong apprised each other of academic and research activities of their respective institutions.
They agreed to sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) soon between the two institutions to establish joint collaborative programmes.
NIDA President invited Prof Siddique to pay a visit to National Institute of Development Administration.
Prof Siddique thanked the guests for their visit to Dhaka University and keen interest in establishing joint collaborative academic and research programmes with Dhaka University.

DU, TU to conduct transcultural social studies course
Dhaka University (DU) and Tripura University will conduct transcultural social studies course
for the students of India and Bangladesh.
The two semesters course titled “Transcultural Social Studies: National Identity in the Sub-continent” for the students of India and Bangladesh will be conducted by DU and University of Tripura, said a press release.
Prof. Cristofer Scarboro of King College, Pennsylvania, USA and Prof. Pankaj Chakraborty of Holy Cross College, Agartala, India called on DU Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique at latter’s office on Sunday.
During the meeting, they discussed matters of mutual interest specially regarding the possibilities of undertaking joint collaborative academic and research programmes among DU, Tripura University and Holy Cross College, Agartala of India.
Prof. Cristofer and Prof. Pankaj handed over a letter of the proposed new course from the Vice Chancellor of Tripura University Prof. A Saha to Arefin Siddique.
The Vice Chancellor of Tripura University in his letter offered the course.
One semester will be held in Tripura University and other semester in DU.
The DU VC appreciated the collaborative teaching course and assured the guests of taking necessary measures in this regard.
He thanked Prof. Cristofer and Prof. Pankaj for their visit to DU and showing keen interests in establishing collaborative teaching course with DU.

NU/National University BM Ed admission 2012
BM Ed admission under NU begins
The admission for BM Ed under National University (NU) for academic year 2012 (Jan-Dec) began on Thursday.
A NU release said the admission will continue till Apr 30.
The students can obtain form and enroll into 2012 BM Ed course after submitting fees before April 30.
The candidates have been asked to contact Bangladesh Teachers’ Training Institute (BTTI) at Board Bazar in Gazipur for detail.
